where do i type in the activation key?

I've looked all over the place. Even on the activation card.

During application startup, there is a Activation key field provided on the splash screen.

If you have accidentally installed the Standard (gratis) version, there obviously won’t be a Activation key field on the splash screen during application startup.

Yes, I installed the free version.
I uninstalled it, reinstalled 14. Put in the activation key,
reinstalled 15.
It's not activated.
thanks, what am I going to do?
i've uninstalled it 3 times

Are you saying that you were successful in activating Resolve 14.3 Studio with the activation code, but you then installed Resolve 15 Beta 1 and it was no longer activated?

yes that's right, but that's because i had installed the light 15 beta not the studio beta.
I assumed the activation turned the light into the studio version.

That is a bad assumption, as it turns out. Free Resolve and Studio Resolve are 2 separate apps.
Have you installed Studio 15b2, and it's working?
