Hi all. I have been using DaVinci Resolve 14 on Windows 10. The issue is that I got blue screen. This is the second that it has occurred with the same error code. Do you think what might be the reason?

Error Code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

My System: Dell Insprion 15 7577, i7 7700HQ, GTX 1060 with Max-Q Design (6 GB), 16 GB 2400 mhz one slot ram, Samsung Evo 860 256 gb ssd, 1 tb 5400 RPM Seagate HDD.

Maybe defective ram? Have a check:

Also interesting: Power supply adapter. If there is not enough power, there are many confusing blue screens, including the memory error. So if you have a chance to test an other (more powerful) power supply adapter, please do it.

Thank you for your interest.

I've already run two memory diagnostics test; Dell's built-in diagnostics and Windows Memory Diagnostics. Both found no problem.

Besides, I get no error while using other editing or render required programs such as Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop etc. It just happens with DaVinci Resolve.

What source footage? What timeline resolution? This is an underpowered machine if you're trying to do 4K, but it could work OK with low-compression HD material (like DNxHD or ProRes). But in general, I don't think laptops are ideal for Resolve.

All of my footage is H264 MOV, shot by Panasonic Lumix GH4. The timeline resolution is 1920 x 1080.

I was using my laptop in better performance mode but switched it best performance after BSOD. I'll see what is going to happen.

Thank you for your answer.

If the footage resolution is 4K, it's still a problem, needs to be fully decoded even for a HDTV timeline.

Try shooting in HD and see if the machine handles that.

OK, then try to transcode first to DNxHD or the like.
