Speed and fusion issues

I have tried 15b1 and just tried b2, and had the same issues with both.
1. in editing page, everything works sort of but extremely slow and playback very stuttery, make a copy of a timeline takes ages, I go back to 14.3 same project but 14.3 version and smooth as silk.
2. Fusion just locks up I tried butting a drop shadow on a png, as soon as i tried to add the drop shadow, everything just locked up, I could move the mouse but as soon as i clicked on something else i would get the "this program is not responding", same thing happened when I restarted and tried other Fusion FX.
Funnily enough I have got Fusion to work on my XPS15, but no go on workstation.
