Can not install Beta 2 as newer version is already installed

I had no problem installing on my very slow laptop and also at work on window 10 PC, but at my home studio I get an error message warning abut " ....some files are missing" after I installed Beta 2 and launching on my windows 10 computer.

Not knowing what to do I decided to uninstall Davinci Resolve and tried to reinstall Beta 2 again but when I click the install file I get a message saying a newer version is already installed.

I did a forum search and and found that i needed to remove C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve folder which I have now but I am still getting the message about a newer version.

Before installing Beta 2 I had version 14 installed, i do remember the same problem happening on this machine when 14 Beta was release. That time the only way i could fix it was to wait for a newer beta version to be released.

Will there be a new version before the weekend as I have put time aside to do some editing and testing and I really don't look forward to sitting at my PC for hours trying to get it to get Beta 2 installed a running.

I find the following a better Uninstaller than the Windows default. Check the option to Automatically remove residual files for a truly fresh start.

Thanks for that.

I have had a look but I am not too keen on installing software onto my system that can mess around with the OS. Looking on the Amazon reviews there are some warning about using it. :o Which puts me off :(

Understandable.

I would add that I've been using it on my Personal, Administrative and Edit systems for years, and never had a bit of trouble. I consider this, like the venerable VLC, not only a perfectly safe install for a production machine, but actually a "must have".
