The "Delete" icon on clip audio tracks is missing or flaky.

I was trying to figure out how to eliminate an unwanted audio track from a clip in the Media Pool so it doesn't get rendered. It looked like an embedded audio track could only be muted, and not removed; but this wasn't true. The trash-can icon was simply missing. Later I pulled up the same clip's attributes, and there it was, magically.

This isn't just a cosmetic problem, because there's no other way to delete these tracks; there's no context menu. And if there's only one audio track, the icon never appears. This is in beta 2.

It used to be that you could select all the clips, go to attributes and choose the number of tracks to use in the edit page. This no longer works and the trash cam method is sloe and clumsy.

The UI issues are a bummer, because after looking at the way this is implemented (audio-to-video linking in the Media Pool), it's a pretty good way to do it.

The trash bin is designed to be visable when you hover over that item. We are trying to keep the interface clean and allow progressive disclosure of items only as needed.

So it seem to be working as designed.

Wait, what? There's already space allocated for it!

Why would the user roll over that area if there aren't any controls in it? You mean we're supposed to roll the cursor over every pixel on the screen looking for hidden goodies?

Are you serious?

It doesn't appear when hovering over the 'Format' or 'Source Channel' columns though, plus there's a dead zone on the trash can column itself so if you hover the cursor over the exact vertical area where the trash can appears, the selection does not update, so if you want to delete more than one track it can behave a little sketchy as you'll move the cursor to the next track by moving straight up/down but the trash can won't appear unless you then move left/right as well.
