Deliver: AAF good news and bad news

PostWed May 02, 2018 10:20 pm

Good news is that I can import the AAF to Media Composer - media initially shows up offline but can either be copied to Avid MediaFiles folder or be 'alt-dragged' into the bin and the offline clips will link up.

Also I got a couple of ProTools folks to import - they also reported success but...

Bad news is that it shows up some sync errors - as have been reported with previous AAFs from Resolve apparently.

(AAF link is in this discussion - http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p=24 ... ost2487015 )

On further inspection of the timeline I see that the Edit Index in Resolve is not accurate - as I jump from edit to edit the cut point that Edit Index and the Resolve timeline show are 1 frame out in places.

This was a fairly simple timeline - just a bunch of audio clips laid out and a text layer. There were 44.1K and 48K clips mixed in there.
