Activate Studio 15

Hi All
I have what I think must be a simple question - though I've looked around for an hour or so now and can't find the answer.
I've just purchased (today) the Resolve Studio 14 and have an activation serial code.
I already have the latest beta of 15 installed.
How do I activate 15 to unlock the restricted features? Or is this not possible in the beta?
I have tried installing 14 from the SD card provided and it did prompt me for the code and I successfully activated it. I then tried to install 15 "over the top" and registration didn't carry over.
Any help for the new guy?
Thanks for your time.
Michael

You need to download the v15 Studio Version, not the free non Studio

Hi @marcoNal - I ended up being confused about that step too... but searched the forum and found the appropriate download link.
I'm too new here and not allowed to post URLs, but if you aim in this direction you'll get there.
blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion
... which solved all of my issues
Good luck!

On the Support tab of the BMD web site, you can select various products. Select the DaVinci Resolve/Fusion item, and all the Resolve and Fusion versions will be in the left column. Versions with Studio in the name are the full versions, that require a license code or dongle to work. Versions without Studio in the name are the free versions.
Here is a link to that location:

I apologize for the double post... When I try to install the 15beta2 Studio (vs free version already installed) it tells me that a newer version is already installed and to uninstall that first...
My question is: what happen to the "local databases" (not the postgress database) in which I have all the projects? Will it be erased? If I back it up first and then import it should work right?
I apologize for all these questions but as I'm very new to this software and I have a big project ongoing edited and graded for 80% it would be a big problem to lose everything now...
Thanks!
Marco

Are you really trying to finish an important, big project on 15? It's an early beta.
You must be a brave man!

On Windows, you can't install an older version, or the same version, of Resolve, without uninstalling the current version first (you can install newer versions without uninstalling first).
You do that in the Windows Programs and Features Control Panel, but right clicking DaVinci Resolve, and selecting Uninstall.
This will not impact any current databases or projects, aside from the fact that if you install an older version of Resolve, it may not work with projects and databases used in newer versions of Resolve.
This is why you should always back up Resolve databases and important projects before installing newer Resolve software, so you can go back to a previous version, if needed for some reason.
