Only first 5 seconds of 2 minute clip will import

Hi,
I'm editing together a video that was shot using Filmic Pro on an iPhone. The footage is captured in 2K 30fps log; I've successfully completed several of these using the exact same settings. However, on the current one, all clips imported successfully except one (the most important one, of course)... it's bit over two minutes, and the file plays perfectly in Quicktime, but when I import it into Resolve beta 15, only the first 4-5 seconds will import. No error messages or anything; I didn't realize anything was wrong until I added it to the timeline and saw how short it was. I've tried re-importing it several times, but the result is always the same.

Any idea why this is happening, and what I can do about it?

Try to convert it to ProRes or DNxHD. It might be a hiccup in the frame rate, smartphones sometimes do that.

iPhone material is not good for post, and in general, I'd say that for all interframe H.264-based formats. Uli's advice is a good suggestion to follow.

Thanks, the conversion worked. I do realize that iPhone footage is not ideal, but you go to war with the army you have, right?
