Certain clips have no audio

PostSat May 19, 2018 6:34 am

I'm new to Blackmagic forums, so I'm sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place or something. But I am working on a project which consists of my intro, and some gameplay. When I open my intro in my media player, I can hear the audio. But when I import the clip into my DaVinci Resolve Project and drag it onto the timeline, I can't hear any audio. But if I drag my gameplay into the timeline, I do hear the audio.

I would like to see a reply fast, This is an important project for me.

Which audio format and codec has the audio?
Do all your clips have a constant frame rate?
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

One to watch out for is to make sure you are dragging the clip and not just the video part of it onto the timeline. If you are dragging the clip from a bin it should be video and audio though.

Is the audio for your intro sampled at 48k? Is your gameplay video recorded with a constant frame rate. Variable frame rate and an audio sampling rate other than 48k will cause this sort of problem.
