Davinci Resolve 15 Beta Crashing at "Control Surface"

I've been using Davinci Resolve 12.5 for about the past year, and it sudden stopped working on me (would act like it's loading up, but then it wouldn't, no crash warning or anything). So I decided to update to Davinci Resolve 15 beta (free), and it keeps crashing whenever it gets to "Looking for Control Surface".

Only thing I've seen to do is to capture the logs, but I'm not sure what to do after that.

If anyone could help me out on this, it would be greatly appreciated. I overall love using Davinci Resolve and don't really feel like putting in the time to install and learn a whole new video editing software.

Bill, post a link here to the diagnostic log.
put a space in the path so the forum will let you save it.
eg
http: //www

Trying to post the path to the log, but it won't allow me to post URLs, unless I'm doing something wrong.

Sorry if I'm wasting your time and sound a bit uninformed/stupid about this kind of stuff. Haven't been on any support forums in a while.

I think what Peter was suggesting to solve that problem was to insert a space in your URL.

So, for example:

https: //www.cnn.com/

Do you see the space between colon and the two forward slashes?

Hope that helps.

Tried it a multitude of times with the space in between the colon and the two slashes, to no avail. Even put more spaces in the link just to see if it helps, still says I'm not allowed to post URLs.

Could it be the file sharing/storage service I'm using? (I have the ZIP uploaded onto Mediafire, couldn't think of anything else to use)

I'll see if it'll allow me to put the end of the link in here.
