Unbeknownst to me my laptop was not getting power from the charger whilst Resolve was rendering a Video. When the battery ran down the laptop shut down I plugged the laptop in tried to start Resolve over and over but it kept getting stuck searching for Surfaces. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled. It starts up now but there is no sound. It recognizes the media and displays the waveforms but no sound comes out of my headphones and the meters in Resolve do not move. Any ideas? or how do I do a really complete wipe out and re-install?
Carsten, That's what I did to uninstall but as the project database remains Resolve is obviously leaving other hidden files otherwise reinstalling would have it working just as well as it did when I first installed it.
I never tried this myself. But I remember this thread where Dwaine Maggart from BMD have 3 postings. May be you can try his last advice. But as I say. I never tried it:
