Request: 12fps Timeline Frame Rate

PostTue May 29, 2018 5:10 am

Hello,
I would like to request the option to select a 12 frame rate timeline. This is to illustrate that classic drawn animation frame rate. Currently the lowest frame rate available on a timeline is 16.

Thank you,
Carlos

It would be nice if we could either generalize it to a float value or just use int32 "flicks", 705600000 Hz. Then users wouldn't have to keep requesting more frame rates.

It's an old request, but this would be so helpful for me too.

I'm working on a 12fps animation, and it edits fine on a 24fps timeline. However adding film grain for example, or other keyframed effects are still calculated at 24. Not a huge thing, if you pretend it was just shot on twos, but still would be cool to have the option. Maybe it's easier to add frame-hold options to grain. idk.

Manual fps setting anything user wants would be nice indeed - it would make editing easier in low or high frame rate videos. But would it be problem with most codecs? Especially standard one. But the editing process should have ability to edit what ever fps user wants - exporting could have limits but i think exporting should be make the way "suggested / safe frame rates" but also possibility to export original frame rate (at least for some formats) - and png/exr sequence export in deliver.
