I have just moved all my editing over to DaVinci Resolve 15 and was wondering if I can open a studio version project on a free version computer and what happens when some of the non available effects are used?
Stupid question????

It will open but any clips that use features that are only available in the studio version will have the watermark. I have done this with a computer at home and at the office. If they are both your workstation you could sign into the studio version on both.

So, presumably then, if you have a studio version project, bring it in to the free version and work on it, and then put it back in the studio version, all the studio affects will come back and the changes you made in the free version will work okay?
I have a Studio dongle, and rarely have to work on a project from my laptop, so I use the free version on there. So it would be good to know I can leave the dongle at home and do minor edits in the free version on my laptop and then bring it back in to Studio okay!

Stay away from Stereoscopic 3D projects when trying this as that restriction is not watermarked.. it just wont open.
