Studio 14 audio AAF import problem

PostSat Jun 02, 2018 9:16 pm

So far with v14 (yes running Studio 14.3), I've been unable to successfully bring in audio as well as video when sending an AAF from Media Composer (several versions, the last being 2018.5). All the video comes in as it has for years, but the audio is spotty. Some clips are there, most are not. Some are sync clips, some are not. The clips are in the media pool and the sound is viable. Conform Lock doesn't seem to be working. Well I can actuate it, and the audio clip turns green and the audio plays in the source monitor but not the timeline. It's making it rather difficult to try the Fairlight panel :(

Clips are all captured from HDCam tape, in this case DNxHD220x 24 bit 48k, as per my standard. Everything is fine in MC and the new AAF generated by Resolve and imported back into MC has everything the way it should be. Ok, so what am I missing?

I am having a similar issue too. Importing an xml from premiere seems to have all the audio out of sync. It seems to be an issue with resolve as when I open the xml in logic it works fine.

Any ideas why this happens or a work around would be well received. Have you managed to find a solution?

Thanks
