Image resizing bug?

Hi!

I was working with Resolve 15B4 and was noticing odd behaviour when trying to work with a .PSD file. I'm not sure wether it's a bug or just a wrong setting somewhere, because it's the first time I use images in an Resolve Project. The image is a logo with an alpha, that has to go at the end of a commercial. I have prepared the logo in UHD 3840x2160 pixels in Photoshop and used it in Resolve project. (I later tried the same image as a .PNG file with the same results. The project has a timeline resolution of just HD, but I want to future-proof the project, so I created all assets for 4K. When I scale the logo inside Resolve — using the "zoom" transform control in the inspector, I get very jagged edges in the image. It's as if the scaling algorithm ist in "draft" mode. I have tried switching the resize filter in the project settings to improve rendering quality between "sharper, smoother bicubic…" but I can see no change — this setting seems to be affecting video but not stills. Am I missing something to get clean image-scaling or is this a bug? I have a screenshot of what I see uploaded here:

I noticed this behaviour too, but that was about files with Alpha in general. And I noticed this in v14.

My solution was to prepare the files just as I need them, yet I still had some issues with fuzzy edges; IIRC, that was because of the unpremultiplied/straight alpha I was using, even though I set it properly inside Resolve. Seems like it didn't change for v15 :(

Hi. Just noticed in Beta8 the annoying image scaling bug is back. I have tried this logo (with alpha) as .psd, .png and .tiff file. It's got a slight sizing-animation on it and the edges are jaggy as hell.

Please, please dear BM developers redo what you did between B3 and B4, because it worked up until B8

Can you please post a PNG (or any other source), and a DRP (Resolve project export)?

I assume you have set the RGBA mode to pre-mult or straight correctly in the Media Pool.
