Hello!
Using Resolve v15 Public Beta. I need to make a "push" video transition between two clips. But there is an issue that I can't pass through. Please help.
Need:
1) One clip pushes existing one out of the frame borders.
2) Clip borders are smooth (blurred) the way that all blurry region is out of the frame when the clip is in the centre.
3) For the second need I have 16x9 clips to fit into 1:2,39 comp. That makes some extra space to that blur is applied.
Solution v1:
In 2048x858 comp i have two clips 16:9 zoomed to fit. The only way I'v found is to use "Push" video transition from the Toolbox effects list. It has parameters: "Feather" (on/off) and "Border" size, it's almost everything I need, but when you make this border happen the animation looks like this:
Result render:
(youtube shows 16x9 frame, but the real video is 1:2,39)
* sorry, I'm not allowed to post URL's, but I want to make sure you see what I mean.
Solution v2:
I could make the same steps, but in 16x9 comp with "Output Blanking" 1:2,39 applied. This way animation phases 02 and 04 are hidden under black letterboxes space. So I have an illusion that two clips are not moving against each other. But, then I have 16x9 comp, not 1:2,39. That's again not what i need.
Result render:
I mean I want to be able to choose between applying effects to the original size of the clip or to the resulting size, cropped by frame boarder. BTW, I'v tried to make the effect in Fusion inside Resolve and had the same issue - couldn't find the way to apply edge blur to the area that is out of the frame.
Maybe someone have an idea on how to make this simple effect happen?) Really appreciate your help, thanks!

- phase_01. clip A is still, no clip B
phase_02. clip A is still, feather border of clip B comes into the frame until it fits border size position.
phase_03. both clips moving
phase_04. clip B is still, feather border of clip A comes out of the frame.
