Okay so first post, hello everyone, this is the problem I have and I hope you can advise me on how to fix it.

Yesterday, 13th June, I spent a good couple of hours editing a video I had started on the 11th. I got the video just how I wanted it, and rather then do the clever thing and save my project, I went straight to render.

I selected render for Youtube, 1080p (which I fear is what caused the issue) and left my PC. This was around 5:30pm, I work morning shifts so I had gone to bed, woke up at 2:00am to get ready and check how it was doing. The render never finished, I do not believe it even began properly as it did not give me an estimated finishing time (just constant jumps). I didn't have time before leaving for work so I tried to activate anything on the toolbar (File, edit, and so on) and the different studio bits on the bottom. They were all greyed out, and clicking them did nothing. My only option was to leave it, which I couldn't do, or try and stop the render. So I clicked the close window icon, and it came up with the usual warning that progress hadn't been saved, and would I like to save this project?

I clicked save, nothing, I clicked cancel and I was back at square one, so I clicked save a few more futile times and hoped for the best before closing the application. Prior to this I had tried to stop the render, and it didn't respond.

And the best part, I didn't know that autosaving required turning on. I was hoping this would be like Microsoft word, or Open office, and would have a recorded instance of the work, or even half of it. But no, just the last save which was 12th June.

However, to make things more interesting, I had a look in C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Resolve Disk Database\Resolve Projects\Users\Username\Projects] and the folder for the project does have, under Date Modified, the 13th June. It includes a time as well interestingly enough. 17:36 which does relate to when I finished my video and set it to render.

The question is, if the information is there but hidden how can I access or restore it. And if it really is gone, why does it show yesterday's date for last modified?

Thank you guys, and I hope to hear from you soon.
