Not sure if it has always been like this, but usage data is implemented in a way that I am finding extremely hard to use. There are 2 main problems:
1) If a clip is in a compound clip or multigroup the usage data does not populate for that clip
2) Usage data counts every track that the clip is used in so a clip that is used one time but has 6 audio channels shows as having a usage of 7 but another clip that has only 4 audio channels would show as having a usage of 5. While a clip that has only been used for video would show a usage of 1. Additionally and more confusingly a clip that had been used video only in 5 separate locations would show as having the same usage as a clip that had been used once with 4 audio channels.
I might be in the minority here, but rarely do I care about usage data for audio. Perhaps having an option to only count usage for video? Or for video and audio separately?
