The problem is like this: there is no clear dividing line between functioning or not functioning on underpowered hardware. You may just add one little extra task or one a bit more demanding format or length of clip or whatever and it quits. What can BM do other than telling you what's really needed?
They could strictly have the software announce: "your computer is not up to spec" and refuse to start. But then many might complain: "but it still worked the other day". Just accept that you are on your own if your hardware is not up to spec. It may work to a certain point, but I'll not be reliable.
Try 12.5, it's easier on the hardware and still available.
