DR15b5 Buggy Performance in Fairlight

I am working on a project in 15 beta (currently on b5), and I'm getting more crashes and buggy performance than I've ever had in any program beta or not.

I'm getting constant crashes from moving audio files from one track to another and dragging sound files in from either the media pool or sound library browser. Another problem is laggy performance with adding fades to audio files and pulling out handles; the fade won't pull in with the mouse correctly most of the time, it just sticks and same with the handles. Sometimes it'll add the fade correctly or pull out the handle, but won't visually show me where my fade/handle is pulled to until i release the mouse click.

I'm hoping that Resolve/Fairlight could be a viable alternative to Pro Tools for audio post mostly because of the idea of scrapping interchange formats and collaboration alongside editorial, but the performance so far has been pretty disappointing. I'm hoping these issues are being addressed, or if its just a problem with my machine/install of DR15b5.

I am on a Windows 10 Pro machine/i7-6700k/32GB RAM/NVIDIA GTX 980/Sound Devices USBPre2 audio interface if that helps diagnose problems.

Attached is a screengrab showing the kind of issues I'm seeing with drawing fades.

Fades need to have a duration of at least 1 frame.

And here is another at the same section that shows more buggy fade behavior.

If this is actually the case, then Fairlight is not a viable option for audio-post. There are many, many, countless times when I've had to do sub-frame fades to smooth things out. You should be able to fade in/out audio at a sample-level increment.

Even then, attempting to draw longer fades results in the same buggy behavior.

The Fade's Curve Bead provides sample level adjustment of fade duration.

Essentially, you have two controls:
Coarse / 1 frame (Fade Handle)
Fine / sample (Curve Bead).

Thanks so much for the clarification on this.

However, isn't this a counter-intuitive way to work? Why not have fades work like every other audio platform without a frame-size limitation? Also, if I'm zoomed in very close doing some macro editing of fades, I don't want to have to draw my fades extra long just to make sure I've crossed the 1-frame limitation and adjust the linear fade and make it logarithmic just to shorten it back; I just want to draw the fade where I want it and keep the fade the shape that I intended.
