Since the addition of Firelight into Resolve, there is a problem with panning the sound only to LFE channel.
For example, there is 6 mono Wave ( each for L, R, C, Lfe, Ls, Rs) and you need to send each file to their channels. There is no instrument as it can simply be done - only using crutches: Reassign each mono Wav to 5.1 Wav and specify for each channel. Then on the timeline create 6 tracks 5.1 and put each Wave on some track.

No problems with the Panner.

To send to the LFE only in the 2D Panner, Option + Double Click the "Pre" button in the Boom section to enable the "Only" button.

In the 3D Panner (Option + Double Click the Panner in the Mixer to bring this up), use the dedicated "Only" button in the Boom section.

No crutches required.

Linked Groups are your friend (Fairlight > Link Group) where you can Link as 5.1 SMPTE or 5.1 Film with the Panning automatically configured.
