Using the currently newest Version of Ubuntu, I installed - the newest Version, duh - of DaVinci Resolve (free Version). Unfortunately, I can't run it at all, no matter what I'm doing. If anybody could help ... That'd be nice.

Resolve Linux is only supported on RHEL/CentOS 6.8/7.x.
You might check the very long thread of Linux Install issues here:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=56878There are many users assisting other users in getting Resolve to run on unsupported Linux distributions.

Step 1 is to make sure your hardware is supported ( and put your hardware/software configuration in your signature will also help us see possible problems). My GPU for instance is about the minimum that works for 1080p.
Step 2 After downloading the install package from Blackmagic, use the deb install package creator kindly made and supported by Daniel Tufvesson.
