No way to configure channels in 5.1 audio render?

I have an H264 mp4 video with embedded 5.1 that I rendered from Resolve. Opening it in Quicktime shows a channel layout of C L R Ls Rs LFE. I had my audio layout in Resolve as:

Track 1 - L
Track 2 - R
Track 3 - C
Track 4 - LFE
Track 5 - Ls
Track 6 - Rs

We need a way to set this to the correct audio channel layout.

Audio Track order has no bearing on the channel configuration on the Fairlight page's Bounce, nor on the Deliver page’s Render - unless using Link Groups.

Were member channels panned correctly to a 5.1 Main Buss (i.e. specified as 5.1 not 5.1 Film)?

We need a way to set this to the correct audio channel layout.
Link Groups automatically configure the channel layout.

Mike, in the input file's clip attributes, under audio, you can set format to 5.1 and change the channel order so you have the right channels mapped to the right indices.

My bad - I missed the Render order bit. Could you post more details of your render settings? perhaps a screenshot of the Deliver page (audio tab) for that render job?

Yes, member channels were panned correctly. The only way I could get the LFE to work right was by disabling the panning for that track. I don't know if that's the right way (no documentation to refer to), but it did work.

I don't know how to "link groups". Without any documentation it's very difficult to properly use and test the Fairlight features and provide feedback.

Here are pics of the settings from the Deliver page:

To send to the LFE only in the 2D Panner, Option + Double Click the "Pre" button in the Boom section to enable the "Only" button.

In the 3D Panner (Option + Double Click the Panner in the Mixer to bring this up), use the dedicated "Only" button in the Boom section.

I don't know how to "link groups"
Fairlight > Link Group

Select the member Timeline Audio Tracks in the Link Groups window (e.g. A1=L, A2=R, A3=C, et cetera), two options will appear at the bottom of the window: “5.1” and “5.1 Film”.

Select the 5.1 option for SMPTE channel order, and the Panning will automatically be configured.

You will be presented with a single Channel fader in the Mixer.
Route this to the Main 5.1 (M1) Buss.

Thank you for the boom panner info.

I tried the Link Group option with 5.1 and then 5.1 Film and still get the same results with the channel layout issue. The audio channels are being mixed together or something as I've detailed here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=75765

More testing... If I link group to 5.1 and render the mp4 with the 5.1 audio, there is no sound in channel 4 at all. I did get this layout:

1 = L
2 = R
3 = C
4 = nothing even though a waveform shows in Fairlight
5 = Ls
6 = LFE (shows what I believe is the Rs waveform, but is actually the LFE channel?)
