Resolve Crashes When Adding Media (GTX 970 issue???)

PostWed Jun 27, 2018 4:08 pm

Resolve v15.0.0b.057 (Free) / Win 10

Resolve crashes EVERY time I try to add a movie clip to the media pool. No matter if I drag it from a folder into the media pool, or I use the media pool to navigate to the clip, by importing it into the media pool it crashes resolve. (regardless of whether the clip is a .mov file, a .mts file, or a .flv file. These files worked fine in version 12, 12.5, and 14 of resolve.)

I can add a STILL to the media pool (not a clip) without it crashing. But if I place that still on to the timeline and try to scrub / play it, their is no image shown in the viewer. Same thing if I am in the media pool (or edit room) and I try to preview that still; no image shown in the viewers.

Is there some incompatibility with GTX 970? The same version of resolve runs fine on my other computer, which is nearly the same specs, but it has a GTX 960 (2 GB) instead of a GTX 970 for GPU.

Crash Dump / LOGs and system nfo file can be downloaded from this link:

Thank you in advance.

Update your NVIDIA driver:

If you have a display connected to the onboard display port, remove it.

Only have a display connected to the GTX970 card.
