Everything has been running smoothly. I've encoded all of my media so I know longer got "media offline" and it's been going well. I've also been using optimized media which has made the workflow fluid. However, I started running out of disc space. So I deleted the optimized media, and switched over to smart cache. More than half of my clips now show up as "media offline".
One way I have found to fix this is going into the media pool, delete the offending media and then take the same media from the original folder and put it back in the media pool and it works instantly. EXCEPT when there has been an edit to an original clip and a compound clip has been created. In this case there is just a black screen on the time line (not offline media).
I'm guessing that I have to redo this project..?? there's no way to restore every thing as it was? why did I have to switch midway through this project...-__-
Yes, I did that, and the black screen disappeared and the original clip returned. but it returned unedited even though you can clearly see the cuts where I originally edited unfortunately.
