source/timeline viewer (shortcut Q) behavior.

I find odd the behavior:

if the source monitor and the timeline monitor are NOT ganged, you can press Q and not only you go from the Source to the timeline focus, but you also see in the decklink output the swap between the sources.

IF GANG IS ON, you don't see in output the frame swapping between source and timeline. Why? I want to keep controlling if two clips are in sync and I want to move the playhead in Gang mode on and using Q bouncing. It is not possible...

Hi Walter,

Workaround :
You go through the comparison of TL. You can use syncs playheads at the same time (3 dots right).

TL1 is played on the left screen, the TL2 is played on the right screen.
By clicking on TL1 or TL2 we have the TL which has the focus on Decklink.

We edit TAB, with GANG ON, we can not use the playhead of the source.

Thanks for the idea.

That's a clumsy one, i usually don't have two timelines but a timeline and a clip..

to make a fake TL with the clip all alone? (Workaround pending final V15 or V16?) :)

too cumbersome: put the clip, gang, go where you want, un-gang --> Q now works... it is not ideal but faster.
