Restore deleted project

In the project manager I right clicked Project A and hit delete. A confirmation popped up and asked if I wanted to delete the selected project. I clicked yes and Davinci deleted Project A and Project B. Why? Because Project B was apparently selected by a nearly invisible red line. It was going to delete Project B no matter which project I right clicked. I guess I made the stupid mistake of assuming the project I right clicked would be the project selected. Now I've lost a project that I've been working on for 7 months and I have to rebuild it from scratch.

So I come with a few things to say and ask.

1. To my fellow creative people: Let this be a warning to you. Make a backup copy of your project right now before something stupid like this happens to it.

2. To Davinci Resolve staff: I would like to humbly request a more noticeable selection highlight in the project manager. As well as forcing the selection to change onto any project that is right clicked. It should not delete more than one project at a time and it should visually be very clear about which project is selected.

3. I know the confirmation window said this deletion can't be undone. But is there any possible way I could get my project back?

Thanks for your time.

Assuming you are using a Disk database, do you have any system backups of that drive location?

If not, it's really gone.

A good reminder of the importance of periodic database backups, and project exports of important projects. Just in case...

I find the red outline quite visible in my interface, but that might depend on the current thumbnail.
But I must say it's much safer to do any delete in the list view, where it's more obvious what is selected, since the current timeline always has a red outline too in the thumbnail view.
