Individual Frames offline in timeline

PostTue Jul 03, 2018 9:17 pm

Hi there I'm having an issue where individual frames are showing as offline in the timeline with .R3D clips.

I'm using DaVinci Resolve 15.0.0B.057. and Windows 10 Pro

I've reviewed the clips in Premiere and they are frame perfect so I'm guessing it's a bug?

Do you mean random frames in the r3d clip appear as offline? But most of the clip appears in the viewer?

Hi Dwaine sorry for the late response but that's exactly right.

The r3d clip show's up in the viewer but with one odd frame showing as offline. I have it in three or four clips in the timeline. When I review the same clips in Premiere they are frame perfect.

Are the odd frames that show as offline, always the same frame? Or is that random?

If you restart Resolve and go to the same offline frame in the clip, does it still show offline?

It appears to be the same frame each time.

This thread started out on 15b5. Have you tried 15b6?

And did this issue happen before 15b5, or is that the first version you started using?

I would be hard pressed to explain how what you are seeing could happen, unless it's something weird with the r3d clips. You've verified the clips are OK in RedCineX?

With 15b6 installed, go into Resolve Preferences - System - Configuration, and uncheck the "Use GPU for RED Debayer" checkbox, save the prefs, restart Resolve, and see if that has any effect on the issue.

Hi Dwaine I think you've nailed it.

I ran the affected clips through Redcine X and it's telling me there are corrupted frames.

Thank you so much for your help and your time it's very much appreciated.
