When I autosync audio from timecode to my video, Resolve is muting the synced audio channel. I can see the waveform, but there is no sound. If I sync audio and append tracks, the scratch audio track embedded into the video track plays but the synced audio track is muted (the one with the * in the name).

Having the same issue, no matter what I do to sync (auto or manual) my synced audio is muted. Nothing appearing on my meters either.

Try preferences speaker selection to an alternative and back to reset.

Same here, all I could to was uninstall and going back to Beta 5 unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestion Peter. It's not that everything is muted, just the synced channel. I did a speaker preferences reset just in case and there was no change.

some sync clips doesnt play audio, some do...the single audio file you can hear on media page but not synched with video clip….I need to show a editing Tomorrow but i don't know how to do it since part of the time line is muted! i tried to change speakers in settings but nothing is changed.

Mike, not sure if you've experienced this as well, but when I go to sync new audio it will just play the single frame rapidly instead of the audio that should be there. If I click away and click back to the synced clip, then no audio at all not even the single frame.

I have the same problem in my desktop.... But it works OK in my laptop... Go figure!

strange behaviour in sound...suddenly speaker doesnt work no more...i went to preference and changed few times and i got sound back….but still no sound from the clip sunched that went silent.

We're also experiencing audio muting of some clips in 15b6 on MacOS 10.13.5.

I'm not sure if I am happy or not that I am not the only one. I just popped over to report this and found this thread about it. I do a lot of audio syncing and it kills the audio on the synced track. Nothing has been able to fix it yet.

One workaround that seems to be working is to use Sync and Append. When you add the clip to the timeline you get the original audio and the secondary audio. You can then just mute the bad audio or unlink the two and delete the bad one.

Same here it seems to not play synced audio. Can see the waveform on the track but nothing on meters or speakers. Original audio still plays.

Append did not work for me it stuck the good audio at the end as it was shorter than the picture. I guess it might work if audio clip was longer.

Same here.

I have same issues syncing video with LTC in audio channel and audio from MixPre10T with proper time-code. This behavior is in beta 6 and beta 5. The 15 beta 4 works fine for me. I went back to 15 beta 4 as this audio sync issues are impossible to fix otherwise. I observe time misalignment as well, that is more present in beta 5.

Issue seams to be solved for me as well.
