After the release of Beta6, I was excited to see almost all of my issues with Beta5 addressed in the announcement post. However, to my unending frustration, none of them seem to have been fixed. This is a copy/paste of my previous post to reiterate that these are ongoing issues. If any devs or users can see room for error on my part, please point it out so I can test and troubleshoot the problems if they're on my end (although I don't believe they are). Thanks in advance!
The short YouTube link demonstrates most of this, but for those who don't want to watch: a 400x200 JPEG used in my video demonstrates what I believe are 3 glitches.
1) After adding any Fusion effect to the JPEG while in Proxy mode, the resolution of the JPEG absolutely tanks. Proxy mode of course is supposed to reduce resolution to improve performance, but the specific act of adding any Fusion effect makes it several times more pixelated. Towards the end of the video, you can see me toggling off Proxy mode and toggling the Fusion effects button above the viewer demonstrating the difference and how the pixelation is indeed linked to Fusion (not to mention the resolution of the JPEG is fine until I apply a Fusion effect that should not affect resolution.) I didn't show it in the video, but this occurs with other JPEGs well throughout the project. I should also note that Proxy mode, including the increased pixelation of the affected JPEG, appears in the final render. I'm not sure if Proxy mode is supposed to effect the final render, but if it is I suppose that's not a glitch.
2) JPEGs effected by the Transform Fusion effect (simply to move around/off the screen with smoothed movement through the Spline function) experience strange cut-off borders, as if the edge of the screen is smaller than it actually is. The video shows how one image is moving towards the bottom of the screen and disappears before actually reaching off-screen. Another jpeg later in the project is a vertical half due to what I believe is the same issue.
3) Although not demonstrated in the video, and mentioned by another user recently, images that should have Alpha backgrounds instead appear as solid black backgrounds that cover anything below them. This occurs whenever an image with Alpha is turned into a Compound or Fusion clip, and it also occurs when simply importing any JPEG to the Timeline. I've found that even slightly cropping or lowering the opacity of a JPEG suffering from this issue immediately "triggers" the Alpha to kick in, making the background transparent as it should be, but I have found no workaround for Compound/Fusion clips. Images with transparent backgrounds suddenly becomes images that take up the entire screen with black backgrounds.
Thank you for your help in advance! I hope these are resolved quickly, whether it be an update or a correction I need to make on my end.
