Not showing image behind

PostSun Jul 08, 2018 10:05 am

Why isn't it layering? When I put one image on top of another on the timeline is blacks out whatever is behind it.

I attached so you can see what I mean. I have an image of a conquistador and I wanted the old map to still be visible behind him. But when I put him on top everything goes black in the background.

Many thanks.

As long as it's just an image, I've managed to work around the issue by cropping or decreasing the softness of the image by a tiny amount. This sometimes "triggers" the Alpha and shows all the background content. As long as you only cropped/softened by a tiny amount, it shouldn't be noticable in the final product.

I can, however, vouch that the issue is persistent across v5 and v6 even though it was one of the Addressed Issues for v6. The workaround makes this small inconvenience for normal pictures, but once you make it a Fusion/Compound/etc. Clip you're screwed. Hope these and many other persistent issues get addressed v7 in ~2 weeks.
