DaVinci Resolve 15 Beta 6 - Edit

It's happened in previous beta's as well.
If I use F9 (or the associated button' to insert a clip at the'timeline cursor' it now inserts at the beginning of the timeline when earlier in the project development it did it correctly.
It seems to me that adding new features is all well and good, but, more testing needs to be on the basics of video editing before releasing a beta.
i'm having issues in 'rendering' MP4 videos; which in some cases just basically exits the application (no warning), or hangs the application (have to kill with the task manager), or it results in me sending a requested 'report' of what I was doing at the time.
My timelines are not complicated with very basic transistions and simpleSLog2 colourv grading.

I'm beginning to think my machine is inadequately configured (hardware).
I7-8700K, GTX 1070, 32GB (am upgrading to 64GB)

Just tested and it is working correctly here. No problem with MP4 either. Are you using a separate drive for your media?

Yes, I'm using a Western Digital 2TB drive on a USB 3.0 connection for all my media.
Is that the problem ?

The 'insert clip (F9)' did work for a while but now doesn't on this project.
The 'rendering' is always 'hit and miss'; mainly miss in every beta I've used.

Hello,
Probably because nothing beats HDD sources directly connected to the motherboard. :)

I have used both internal and a USB 3 external drive without problems. Are you rendering to your external drive as well as reading from it? Also, what speed is the external drive? If it's 5400rpm, there is your problem. It needs to be 7200rpm.

I got my machine upgraded to 64Gb. It now works as expected with no other changes.
Downloaded Beta 7 and that is now OK.
