Resolve 15 No audio playback

Good afternoon
I am currently using DaVinci Resolve Public Beta 5 and have been experiencing audio playback issues since the first public beta of resolve 15. Audio tracks import fine into media and play in media, but when dragged into the edit page they no longer play. If I drag the track into the second viewport on the edit page and then play it (so it is in the edit page but not on the timeline) it plays fine, but as soon as I put it on the timeline it stops playing. When this issue occurs I cannot play anything in the Fairlight tab and the project does not export in deliver. I have spent hours on the forums trying to find a solution and have done everything suggested such as changing the preferences to Use System Settings, manual configuring it etc. I have further reinstalled my audio drivers and changed my system bit depth to match the DaVinci project's. What is strange is that often the audio will be 'muted' only for certain segments of the timeline, such as for the first 5 seconds and then mute again after 15 seconds. Essentially it plays on the timeline but only during certain time ranges. It is not dependent on the format as that problem occurs regardless of format or audio track. This problem is recurring and is causing me to loose a huge amount of editing time. It fixes itself then suddenly occurs again which is extremely frustrating. I have reinstalled DaVinci multiple times to see if that will fix the problem but it has not. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have not had good experiences with resolve 15 at all and it also takes remarkably longer than Resolve 14 to open. My current system is a Ryzen 7 1700x with 16gb of RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB. DaVinci is installed on an NVME SSD and video are installed on a HDD- it is running on Windows 10. This system is only a few months old and had no issues with Resolve 14.
Thank you
