Hi,
Trying to learn the more advanced features of the new Davinci Resolve with Fusion support.
So the thing I'm trying to do is, I have screen recorded a google earth video that is rotating around a mountain chain on Madeira. I want to track two mountain tops and pin a flag to each top with a text. For this, for me, the regular tracker worked best, not the planar tracker.
First try was to create a single tracking node with two trackers tracking each top. The tracking worked great but I cant see any way to pin multiple objects(images for me) to the tracking data. The only option that worked was to use Match Move and tell it to use tracker1 or tracker2, and attach flag to foreground and google earth video to background. But this solution will only allow me to attach one or multiple objects to one of the trackers, not both mountain tops.
Second attempt was to create two tracker nodes and track each mountain top separately. This would allow me to pin first flag to one top and the second flag to the other top, each using their own tracking data. Background to both trackers is the google earth video. Now the problem arise when merging both these trackers, it will merge not only the flags but as both trackers have the google earth video as background it will also merge this. I set the Apply Mode to Lighten, this doesn't seem to affect the google earth video and does allow me to see both flags, but somewhat transparent an not solid. A hack solution that is not great and only works somewhat for this specific case. If I remove the google earth video as background from the tracker after the tracking is done, the image(flag) doesn't seem to follow the tracking data any more.
The end result I wanted to achieve except the flags was to trace the hiking route from start to finish, no idea how to do this on a moving background either. Seen some guides on how to do it on a static map image but not on a moving background. But this is a later problem, need to sort out the tracking first.
Any idea on how I can accomplish what I want?
