After selecting a clip, making it a Fusion clip. I then made simple changes on the Fusion page. When I tried to go back to the Edit page after making the changes, Resolve immediately crashed. After a few attempts to reopen that Project and failing, I rebooted my Mac and tried again. Now, I can no longer open that Project without Resolve crashing. I can open all other Projects without issues.

How can I recover the work I've done in the Project?

What beta version of 15 are you using?

Are you able to Export the project from the Project Manager page?

If you can, try importing it back in, and see if that helps.

If not, put the export on a file sharing site and provide a link to it here.

If you can't export it, in the Database area of the Project Manager page, click the Info button at the top. This will show the path to the database. Right click that path and select Open File Location. Select the Resolve Projects folder, then Users, and then the user folder, probably guest, then Projects.

In the Projects folder will be a folder for each of your projects. Zip the folder for the bad project, and put that on a file sharing site and provide a link, and we'll see if it can be recovered.

Nope. It crashed Resolve.

Do I have to rebuild the Project?

It would be helpful to have a Resolve diagnostic log file to perhaps see why it's crashing.

At the moment I have no idea at all what type of hardware you are using, aside from the fact you mentioned it's a Mac.

Your project loads fine on my 10.12.6 MacPro with GTX1050Ti card.

I'm using the base model of an iMac Pro.

Thankfully, I only had one more shot to do. So, I created a new project and finished it from there.

How do I read the Capture log?

(I've attached the log if anyone can look)

I also noticed this error from the yellow triangle in the lower right corner. Not sure what this means.

Seems like it's a Fusion related issue.

A couple of things you might try, both in Resolve Preferences - System - Configuration:

Set the GPU processing mode to OpenCL, save the preferences and restart Resolve. Did that affect the issue?

If not, in Preferences, set GPU processing mode back to Auto, and enable the "Always run Fusion on CPU" checkbox, save the preferences and restart Resolve. Did that affect the issue?

Nope. Neither of those approaches worked.

Should I leave "Always run Fusion on CPU" enabled? Is that a more stable choice?

I have no opinion on the Fusion CPU Enabled checkbox.

I just find it odd that the project loads on my Mac and not yours. Those are 2 things that might be been different between the systems.

I don't know of anything else to try.

I don't understand either why it won't load. But, I only had one shot to go, so it wasn't a big deal.
