Hi guys,
Any idea about the date for the final release of Da Vinci Resolve 15?

Thanks,

I think the answer is that "it'll take as long as it takes," but since the new Pocket Cinema 4K is scheduled for release in September and will ship with Resolve Studio it seems likely that they're aiming to have v. 15 out of beta by then so they can ship Resolve 15 with those cameras instead of 14. If it doesn't happen in time, though, it's not the end of the world; people will get v. 14 and can update later to 15 once it's out of beta.
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.

Usually its a kind of "Christmas and Easter" schedule -- Public Beta at NAB Las Vegas (April) and Release Candidate announced at IBC Amsterdam (September), and either immediate or mid-month public access.

At NAB, BMD reps as well as Grant Petty and Peter Chamberlain estimated that the v15 cycle was going to be around 18 months, and that NAB was six months into that effort.

Given the scope of the project just based on publicly available info, I'd say 18 months is a reasonable guesstimate.

This is definitely a case where we'd rather have it done right than quickly.

The 18 months is in relation to the Fusion plans we have, and that could extend as we add more things, but the balance of v15 will be out of beta much sooner than NAB 19.
