Clip duration problem

I've searched for this and can't find a post for it. And I just upgraded to the latest Resolve 15 Studio Beta as of today (July 26th), with the same problem. I'm importing low res video clips for a job; they're mp4's that I have to edit with and will be conformed to 1080i ProRes after my spots are approved. When I import them into the media page, I see their durations are all only four seconds long; but I know the clips are well over an hour when viewing in Quicktime Player. When I click them into the source viewer, the clip only plays for four seconds and stops.
Any suggestions?
