Has the Media Manager gotten any love in the 15 betas? Or are there any plans to improve its reliability?
It seems that source-media trimming has become increasingly--and noticeably--unreliable in 15b. I often work with projects where I need to trim the sources in order to make it manageable to work off an external drive. But as of 15b7, it's gotten to the point where I simply cant trust the Media Management tool to not bomb out in the middle of a Copy operation with an unhelpful "Failed" error message.
It doesn't seem to matter what kind of footage it is. Lately I've been get random trim fails on R3D sources and XAVC MP4 files.
It would be nice if the Media Management tool had an error log, so I can at least have vague feedback as to what might be the cause of the failure to trim.
Also, the Media Manager should continue to attempt further trimming operations, and not abort the entire operation just because a file in the middle of the batch failed to trim.
