B7 Stuttering audio on Linux with Pulseaudio based distro

Choppy playback and drop outs, even just playing wav's on the media page.
ALSA plugin flashing on and off in Ubuntu 18.04LTS sound preferences 'Applications' tab.
Only fix I've found is to disable Pulseaudio.
