Macbook pro 2018 eGPU Vega vs 580

PostSun Jul 29, 2018 1:45 pm

Hi, I've just bought a MacBook Pro 2018 and I'm trying to decide between a Vega 56 and a 580. Would the 56 be worth it, or will there be a bottleneck somewhere?

Reference Vega is 1.5x faster in OpenCL than Overclocked to 1411 Mhz RX580. Dual RX580 will be faster than single Vega. It is all about price ranges.
Vega and Fury HBM cards have specific coil whine noise. Some people calm that noise may depend of PSU.
