Relocate an audio file (which I updated the file)

So, my audio was clipping a little bit, so I rerendered my audio file and saved it with the same name in the same folder. I thought, that because it had the same name, it would be easy to relocate the file. But, no! I already watched a bunch of tutorials on how to relocate files, but my clips can't link to the audio clip in my media folder anymore. Can I link a clipe to a different file, but with the same name? It has the same length too.
