Auto Sync Audio Feature request

PostTue Jul 31, 2018 6:59 pm

Hello,

After a shoot, I rename video files names to reference subject and action.
I.E. 001 (sequence for day) P-51 Mustang (subject) Poisition and Hold (action) RTL (aircraft orientation).
001 P-51 Mustang Position and Hold RTL

Then bring each clip into Izotope RX6 Standalone for Audio Treatment, Exporting Audio as a new .WAV File, using the origional clips file name.

Using the Auto Sync Audio from Waveform is a 80-95 positive hit rate when syncing multiple sequences, but some audio clips get attached to the wrong video file.

Request Feature: Make "Auto Sync Audio based on File Names" would be super!

Thanks,

If Izotope could write the same timecode to the new audio file, it would be...better.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Re: Auto Sync Audio Feature request-Sync by file name.

Hi Jim,
The Camera in use right now, along with the recorder is only Time of Day timecode.
Panasonic AG UX-180, and Tascam DR70 or DR40.

I would not think the TOD Timecode would not be accurate enough.

That would be a great addition for Izotope for sure.

I hope Black Magic can add this simple menu item, should not be a problem for them.

With all the changes I do to the audio files, Waveform Matching is not the best
