Anyone using ERA Audio Software With Resolve?

I’m editing a video recorded with a lot of noise and especially reverb. It APPEARS that the Accusonus Era software may be useful to remove the noise and reverb.

Has anyone used Era with Resolve? Is it compatible with resolve? Will Fairlight remove noise and reverb?

Thanks,

Dan.

Fairlight in v15 has noise reduction, but it's not as easy to achieve good results with it as with the Accusonus. There's a 14 day free trial available for Accusonus.

Roger,

Thanks. I’m still learning Resolve in general. I’ll work with Fairlight to see what it can do.

Also, I just saw a review on youtube for DeVerberate. It looks interesting too.

Thanks and regards,

Dan

Deverberate (from Acon Digital) is quite good; I've used it to reduce echo from some dialogue recorded in a very reverberant church. Acon has other tools too (e.g., the Restoration Suite) that are very similar to, but cheaper, than the Izotope RX suite.

I've been using Era-D for about 9 months now, and it has done a pretty good job and had no issue with resolve. The only negative is the adaptive noise reduction needs to be retrained every time you re-open a project.

Curtis Judd just did a video showing how to use the more advanced features.

I have gotten fair-to-reasonable results with the DeVerb module within iZotope RX Advanced. All of the anti-reverb software out there works using similar principles (as far as I know). Sometimes it takes multiple passes and different modules to get the right results. Manual fade-ins & fade-outs and some level-riding may also be necessary. Broadband NR can also help with some kinds of reverb issues.

My preference is to do this kind of work -- particularly for dialogue -- outside Resolve and then bring in the separate sound clips in on separate tracks, so as not to tax the program's performance too much. That way, I can choose to use the de-verb'd track or the original (or even a combination of the two), whichever sounds best.
