Unable to use step forward / back shortcut in media page

Hey there,
When in the media pool, selecting on a clip in a bin then pressing the spacebar will start playback, fast-forward and re-wind shortcuts also work, however, the left and right arrow keys (step forward / backwards) don't work unless you click into the clip or audio viewer.
The expected behaviour would be that the step forward and backwards keys would work, just as ff/rw/play/pause do, without having to activate the player window itself.
While it may sound like a minor inconvenience, it impacts the speed at which one can manually sync rushes.
I have tried running in dual and single screen mode and it doesn't seem to affect the behaviour (or lack thereof).
Its been a little while since I've manually synced rushes in Resolve, I'm wondering if this is a bug in the Resolve 15 Beta version or has it existed previously?
OSX 10.13.5
Resolve 15.0.08.073
