Am I to understand that the old way of performing a swap edit in the timeline (shift-cmd drag) is no longer possible? That you can now only do a swap insert edit (what used to be opt-cmd drag and is now shift-cmd drag)? I don’t think it’s a good idea to reduce editing functionality like this. Sure, I can turn on snapping, but not only was it quicker to swap things the old way since I wouldn’t have to move the cursor to the end of the clip every time, but now you are restricting this functionality to when snapping is turned on, when during editing I much prefer to have it turned off! And what if I have many clips with edit points around there (e.g. audio clips) and accidentally snap to the wrong point? The old way was more reliable. Please reinstate the old way of swapping edits, at least by using opt-cmd drag (which now does nothing, rather a waste!). Most of the time, if I am swapping clips around, I want them swapped in their entirety. In fact, I can’t remember any time I would have done a swap insert edit, so if either of the two should be more difficult to perform it should be that one.
