Cannot Perform Any Actions - Crashing

I am new to video editing, and through some online research I decided to go with the Resolve Beta for my use... I have downloaded the beta, started it up (it takes a decent amount of time to load), and once the project screen loads and I attempt to start a new project, edit the current sample project, or upload anything, the application crashes.
I am using a Windows Surface Book
Windows 10 pro
Intel i5-6300 @ 2.5 GHz
8gb RAM
I'm not sure if I am leaving any information out, or what other questions about my computer you may need, but I would greatly appreciate any help. I am looking forward to learning Resolve!
