Adjusting preview window size in Color workspace?

PostWed Aug 08, 2018 2:57 pm

So I am brand new to Da Vinci resolve and am still trying to get used to everything in it. I notice that when I try to do color correcting and go to the Color tab at the bottom, the preview window is extremely small and if I put it to actual size its all stretched out. I attached a picture so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. The window size for all the other tabs is larger. Any ideas? Thanks.

My guess is you are on windows with a 4k monitor, in which case try setting the OS UI sizing to 200%.

I’m on a laptop and I don’t think it’s a 4K screen. How would I go about changing my OS UI sizing? Thanks!

Hi Rick, did you ever get this sorted? I am finding the same, guessing it is just because the colour wheels and keyframe boxes have to be a certain size on my laptop screen but it's squeezing the viewer into a tiny space. Would be good to tur them off as I'm a newb and just want to use LUTs.

What is the resolution of your screen, it appears to be low? Another user had problems with the scopes view and Dwaine suggested this was caused by a low res screen.

To give you a bit more space you could turn off Clips and just have Timeline selected.
This is on a 1920x1080 screen.

If you're working on a Windows laptop with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, you may have this issue because the screens Scale may be set to something other than 100%. (See Settings > System > Display > Scale)

If that's the case, you can change this setting from recommended to 100%

A better solution may be to open Resolve, open Preferences, select the user preferences and change the UI Display Scale setting from Auto to 100%
