Bug in Deliver: Render path is not accessible to Resolve

PostThu Aug 09, 2018 8:15 pm

This turned up in B8 when trying to add to the Render Queue, whereas I had no trouble in B6 and B7. It may be an issue that's been around for a while: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19650 although possibly for other reasons.

The actual path IS accessible as the entire project lives in a subdirectory there, but even using the exact location in Media Storage can't convince it to add to the Render Queue.

Can you please post your logs as well? please capture it right after the error pops up.

UPDATE 1: BTW, the /opt/resolve/Media directory which is created by the install, but which is not shown in the list when I go to Davinci Resolve - Preferences - MediaStorage, CAN be written to ...
UPDATE 2: It seems to be erratic, after stopping and starting a few times the PROPER directory appears again and can be written do. The logs are taken immediate after the situation I first described occurred.

Are you on Build 80 or 81 of Resolve B8?

I'm also having this problem, 15.1.1.005, Windows 10.

Previously, I had a Synology Diskstation attached, but I don't now. The first drive listed is C:\VOL0, and it is not checked. Not sure if this has anything to do with it.

Hello,

To be able to write on the disk C: \ under windows, sometimes, it is necessary to have rights 'Administrator':

My advice: Write to another HDD by having the rights to write.
And if another disk is present: declare it first disk in preferences (for cache management) :)

Oh, this is a bit embarrassing, but I'll post it in case someone else runs into the same issue. I'm very new to Resolve, so that's my excuse!

I was rendering my video to Youtube, and thought that "Location" was geographical, not disk-related. So I put in where it was shot, and got the error.

If Resolve developers are reading this, it would be nice to see the full path that Resolve can't access, it would have made my mistake more obvious.
