Audio effects not playing back the same in Edit as Fairlight

PostMon Aug 13, 2018 6:44 pm

I have 15 tracks of audio that have some RX6 Voice Denoise and RX6 DeReverb plugins (AU) on them. I notice that when I playback in the Edit page the effects are not working as well as they do in the Fairlight page. I think we should be able to get the same playback results in all the pages, otherwise it freaks clients out and makes the whole process more difficult for us when we're jumping between Edit, Color, and Fairlight and things are different in one page than another.

You may need to bounce those effects to a new layer to have them real-time

We have the render cache for the Color page. It would be great if there was a way for the Fairlight part to also automatically render cache in the background as changes are made to the mix. It would make the entire process go much quicker and smoothly than having to constantly bounce tracks to another track or level. Possible for v15.1?

Also, I'm noticing that plugins aren't always performing the same. I can bounce to a new track 3 times and it sounds different each time. This is specifically with RX6 Voice Denoise that I'm noticing this. I know it's a processor intensive plugin, but I should expect different result every time I playback, bounce, or render.
