15 final download much larger than previous versions

PostMon Aug 13, 2018 11:46 pm

I couldn't help but notice the download for 15 final was significantly larger than previous versions -- it's almost 120MB larger than the last beta.

Anyone know why that might be?

It does include the new PDF manual for 15, which is over 2600 pages.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Ah, maybe that's it. Yeah, the Resolve manual is a serious tour de force.

Cheers Jim.

Edit: the manual is only 85MB, so that doesn't quite account for it.

Why does this matter?

Accounting for the manual, there's less than 50 MB difference between Beta 8 and RTM. My first guess is that with RTM we have the full code.
